How to Beat Reap and Rush Threats

“How to beat” searches usually mean a named boss or a room that feels unfair. Launch patches named the threats below. We describe failure modes that were real in Steam notes, not invented HP bars.

A Chinese press kit around 22 July advertised six playable heroes, four maps, five difficulties, and nine randomly appearing powerful bosses. Steam notes then named Ancestral Dragon / Primordial Emperor, Xu Fu, and Ghost King. We will not invent the other six titles.

Ancestral Dragon / Primordial Emperor

Dialogue with Primordial Emperor · Ancestral Dragon could lock the menu on ESC. Divine Retribution sometimes missed the dragon. On Shura, tribute rewards failed to pay after the fight (12 August). If you are farming tributes off this encounter, update first. August 6 added a presentation when making a wish with the Divine Dragon—do not confuse the cinematic with a new mechanic.

Xu Fu

Xu Fu appears in soundtrack titles and in continue-combat notes: some auto stones and skills failed to fire after Continue in boss-adjacent fights. Treat a “dead kit” on this encounter as a save bug until you new-run on the current depot.

Ghost King and Lucky Star

Lucky Star meteor text was updated so meteors only after Ghost King. If a pet description promised earlier meteors, the tooltip was the liar.

Room bosses that are not characters

• Blood Cocoon — HP used to grow during the event; enter/leave VFX was clarified 12 August. Learn the circle, then leave.
• Fire Calamity pillars — could die before VFX. Wait for the delay, then commit.
• Stunned packs — unkillable stun was fixed 29 July.
• Post-boss chases — large monster groups kept chasing after a boss died; fixed 31 July.
